I have a set of encyclopedias from 1889 with amazing etchings (out of copyright). These tool images are some of my favorites, with all the funny awesome names for the different types of tools.
There are 6 different designs [wrenches, tongs, blocks(pulleys), saws, squares, trowels] and each set has one of each design. You can go here to see pics of the other cards, if you like.
I hand letterpress printed each card on Rives BFK 100% cotton paper, in a rich tan color. Each card has a strip of papyrus 'wood' paper glued to the inner edge and is folded just short of the middle so that a bit of it shows from the front. {The process of gluing this finicky material onto each card by hand is ridiculously time-consuming, but really makes these extra-special.}
